The lovely town of Uzès has managed to preserve an amazing historical heritage. Since the Antiquity, the town has been anchored in history, which allowed it to obtain the label « Town of Art and History ». The medieval town of Uzès, surrounded by the Boulevard Gambetta, is a maze of alleyways and shaded squares, edged with mansions from the Renaissance, the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as archways. At the heart of the old town centre, the medieval garden invites you for a stroll between vegetables and medicinal herbs, as well as modern artwork. On top of the 100 steps of the tower you’ll have a great view on town. Just like the Tour Bermonde that dominates the Duché d'Uzès, a district with buildings owned by the Crussol family from Uzès. Under the archways of the town, a typical Mediterranean market is held every Saturday.
